Choose efficient ventilating fans
Ventilating fans in the kitchen, bathroom, laundry, utility room, and other rooms can be effective in controlling moisture if the fans vent directly outdoors. If you are choosing localized ventilation or exhaust fans, find efficient models to save energy and reduce operating costs.
What to look for:
certified ventilation fans. These use at least 70% less energy than standard models. Added benefits:
